Was kann man groß über dieses Spiel sagen. So ziemlich jeder erwartete sich einen Sieg des amtierenden SB-Siegers New York Giants. Allerdings enttäuschte allen voran Eli Manning. Mit heißen 213 Yards und einem TD-Pass kann man nicht mal gegen die Cowboys gewinnen. Die Defensive spielte in der 1. Hälfte eine sehr gute Partie lies dann allerdings in Hälfte 2 genau so stark nach wie sie zuvor begonnen hatte. Bradshaw konnte mit einer ansprechenden Leistung von 92 Total Yards und einem Rushing TD überzeugen und düfte dank dem Totalversagen des hoch angepriesenem David Wilson seinen Platz als #1 Running Back der Giants zunächst verteidigt bzw gefestigt haben. Man muss aber auch das positive in diesem Spiel hervorheben. Dies sind 4 Spieler der Cowboys. Als erstes muss man Kevin Ogletree erwähnen. Der #3 Receiver der Cowboys wurde zum #1 Ziel von Tony Romo und hatte 114 Rec Yards und 2 TDs. Dann natürlich Tony Romo der nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten seinen Rhythmus fand und für 307 Yards passte und 3 TDs. DeMarco Murray konnte sich als der neue #1 RB der Cowboys präsentieren und tat dies relativ beeindruckend. 131 Yards in 20 Versuchen zeigen einen Durchschnitt von 5,65 Yards per Versuch. Der Touchdown blieb ihm zwar verweigert aber dies machte an diesem Abend nichts aus. DeMarcus Ware sollte man hier nicht extra erwähnen müssen da er seit Jahren die Tragende Kraft der Cowboys Defence ist, trotz 2 Sacks. Allerdings hat sich gestern Abend ein neuer Abwehrspieler hervorgetan. Sean Lee wusste gestern mit 10 Solo-Tackles und einem Forced Fumble zu überzeugen.
Fazit: Wenn Tony Romo es schafft seine Leistung der 2. Hälfte von Beginn an abzurufen stehen den Cowboys meiner Meinung nach alle Türen zu den Playoffs offen.
Die Giants werden sich bis zu ihrem Week 2 Match gegen Tampa Bay gewaltig steigern müssen den sonst droht sogar eine mögliche Niederlage gegen relativ schwach einzuschätzende Bucs.

Was macht man wenn man insgesamt 8 Spieler (4 in der ersten Runde) via NFL-Draft verliert? Man Rekrutiert gut. Zum 4. mal in den letzten 5 Jahren hat man laut Rivals.com die beste Rekrutierungsklasse. Bei den Topspielern handelt es sich dabei laut ESPN150-Liste um

Dach das Rückspiel um die national Championship in Louisiana gegen LSU und dann noch zu Hause gegen die Texas A&M Aggies und natürlich noch die Iron Bowl.

Team von Arkansas State mit 24-7 abgeschossen. Man kann den Ducks aus Oregon nur wünschen das sich nicht zu viele Stammspieler verletzen denn sonst könnte die Saison recht hart werden. Vom Schedule her kann man sagen das es wohl trotz allem nur 1 sehr hartes Spiel geben wird und das wird das Duell mit USC. Stanford wird wohl ohne seinen Superstar QB Andrew Luck sehr schnell aus den Top 25 rutschen und die restlichen Teams können ihnen bei weitem nicht das Wasser reichen.

Neues Forum zum Blog online
So ... heute habe ich mir aus ... sind wir ehrlich ... LANGEWEILE ... ein Forum erstellt welches sich mit ähnlichen Themen wie der Blog hier befassen soll. 15 Medaillen sind vergeben. China führt noch immer mit 2 Medaillen, allerdings hat Brasilien aufgeholt.

Weiters sehr schlimm das nun schon im Beachvolleyball das Duo Schwaiger/Schwaiger beim Damenbewerb auch noch verliert. Österreich ist anscheinend noch nicht bei Olympia angekommen.

Die Weltmacht China führt mit 1x Gold und 1x Bronze aus dem gleichen Bewerb. Zweiter derzeit Kasachstan durch eine Super Leistung von Alexander Vynokurov der das Straßenrennen gewonnen hat.
Natürlich hat Österreich noch keinerlei Medaillen gewonnen und zusätzlich mit Ludwig "Ludo" Paischer sogar schon einen der zum erweiterten Medaillen-Kreis zählte in der 2. Runde verloren. Tamira Paszek ist auch schon in der ersten Runde des Tennisturniers ausgeschieden und entäuschte dabei gegen Cornet aus Frankreich auf voller Linie.
Heute Abend wird daher mit Sicherheit Österreichische Bundesliga (18.30) bzw die Austrian Bowl (20.15 live auf ORF Sport+) geschaut und nicht die ganzen Berichterstattungen über Bewerbe die für einen patriotistischen Österreicher keinerlei Bezug haben.

So ... ich merke das ich nicht mal wenn ich krank zu Hause rumliege dazu komme jeden Tag einen Post zu veröffentlichen. Kann man leider nichts machen.

Entry Draft ... wer hätte sich schon gedacht das Yakupov der #1 Pick wird? .... JEDER!!! Danke Draft Experts das einem leider bei so gut wie jedem Draft die Spannung genommen wird weil man wochenlang davor im TV schon die Expertenrunden diskutieren warum und wieso genau dieser Spieler dieser Pick wird.Ich bin jetzt schon auf den NBA-Draft nächste Woche gespannt ... und damits keine Unklarheiten gibt mein #1 Pick wird Anthony Davis von den Kentucky Wildcats.

da wir ja schon bei Basketball sind. LeBron James hat endlich den Titel gewonnen für den er Millionen Menschen aus Ohio verraten hat. Gut gemacht "King". Seine Stats allerdings sprechen gewaltig für ihn in den NBA Finals. 28.6 Punkte 10.2 Rebounds und 7.4 Assists sind ein gewaltiger Wert und dafür muss man ihn leider respektieren.

Training Camps ... nicht viel was sich hier tut worüber man wirklich viel lesen kann. Was ich nett finde war die Aktion von Brendon Jacobs. Der ehemalige Giant und jetzige 49er hat einem 6 jährigen der Geld spendete damit er nicht wechselt das Geld persönlich zurückgegeben und einen ganzen Tag mit ihm verbracht. Sehr schöne Aktion wenn man bedenkt was viele Footballer sonst in der Off-Season machen. Sind zwar auch immer sehr schöne Geschichten allerdings meistens eher negative Schlagzeilen. Anbei hier auch noch ein Danke an Adam "Don't call me Pacman" Jones, Plaxico Burress und viele mehr.

Ronaldogal (Mischung aus Portugal und Ronaldo) steht im Halbfinale. Ebenso wie die Deutschen die sich gestern recht eindrucksvoll gegen die Griechen durchsetzten. Heute Abend folgt das Spiel der Spanier gegen die Franzosen um zu sehen wer als nächstes gegen Ronaldogal spielen muss und sich gegen den immer stärker werdenden selbsternannten besten Fussballer der Welt antreten darf. Morgen folgt dann das letzte Viertelfinalspiel zwischen England und Italien um den Gegner der Deutschen zu ermitteln.

Ist R.A. Dickey der beste Pitcher den es derzeit gibt? "PITCH YOU KNOW IT!!!"
Gestern das 2. aufeinanderfolgende Spiel wo er in 9 Innings nur 1 Hit erlaubt hat. 11-1 Sieg-Niederlagen Record und ein 2.00 ERA sprechen für sich. Es ist zwr momentan nur eine Momentaufnahme aber trotzdem ist es ein Wahnsinn was der Mann leistet dem man früher nachsagte das er es als Pitcher zu nichts bringen wird.
Eine Erwähnung erhält auch noch Aaron Hill von den D-Backs da er "for the cycle" geschlagen hat. (Single, Double, Triple und Homerun in einem Spiel)

Geburtstag seine Karriere und ist insgesamt für 152 (Rush/Rec) verantwortlich und hält sehr viele Single Season und All-Time Rekorde. Ausserdem ist er auch noch der 2006 NFL MVP. Game 4. Können Durant und Westbrook heute schon ein vorzeitiges 6. HEIMspiel erzwingen oder werden die Big Three weiter rollen? Oder bewahrheitet sich wieder mal was viele denken? LBJ kriegt nur Ringe vom juwelier. Ich werde heute nacht live das Spiel schauen und vl. gibts auch noch einen kleinen Halbzeitbericht.

Spanien und Italien haben sich in Gruppe C durchgesetzt. Kein Favoritensterben hier. Hoffentlich geht es heute so weiter den mir als England-Fan würde es überhaupt nicht gefallen wenn das offensiv tolle Team, ab jetzt sogar mit Rooney, schon in der Vorrunde ausscheiden würde. Dafür muss heute aber die Ukraine um Superstar Shevchenko geschlagen werden. Die Franzosen sollte im Normalfall keine großen Problem mit den Schweden haben.

Well well ... pretty drunk yesterday! Had a nice little "drunk ... need to remember Post" here ... I think it was better to erase it ^^ well back to the main topic ... NFL DRAFT! wanted to talk about a few picks I thought were very interesting in the later rounds.
First we gotta talk about Courtney Upshaw. Never thought he would make it to round 2 with all the need for pass-rushing in the NFL. Might be because some teams considered inferior because they were talking about his frame a lot which I personally don't understand.
Next is Konz. Seems like noone needs a new franchise center for the next 10 years. Except the Falcons who practicaly stole him at #55. Konz was by far the best C after a nice performance at the Combine.
After that comes LaMichael James. Pretty good pick at #61 considering your RBs. Frank Gore is terrific but after that .... Jacobs??? are you for real???? I'm actually very pleased with this pick here ...

So final part of my draft evaluation ... 27 -32
#27 Cincinnati Bengals ... Kevin Zeitler ... DE ... Illinois
Solid Pick even though there were some players available that would have been much better like Upshaw or Konz. Zeitler will probably be a starter next year and play backup this year but he's overall a good pick so as a Bengals Fan you don't have to hate your team.
#28 Green Bay Packers ... Nick Perry ... LB ... USC
Here we go with another Pass Rusher. The Packers have huge success with Clay Matthews out of USC so why not pick his college successor from USC. Solid Pick which gives them the ability to go after QBs some more.Perry had 9.5 sacks last year which is quite impressive.
#29 Minnesota Vikings ... Harrison Smith ... S ... Notre Dame
The Viks had a bunch of Picks from their Browns Trade so they traded up 6 Spots to upgrade their shaky secondary. Smith is a HUGE Upgrade at Safety for the Viks and he will probably start as soon as he wears the Uniform.
#30 San Francisco 49er ... A.J. Jenkins ... Illinois
I don't get this Pick. There were WAY better WR available at this point like Coby Fleener, Cordy Glenn and Stephen Hill. He had a decent year at Illinois last year but he is a huge reach at this position. He could have been picked in the late parts of the second round too.

Well we all know that LaGarrette Blount kinda sucks as he looks totally out of place in blocking schemes and anything else where he doesn't need to run straight ahead so this pick is really great. He has been compared to Ray Rice and I think this is accurately.
#32 New York Giants ... David Wilson ... RB ... Virgiania Tech
No secret here that the Giants wanted to pick Doug Martin with this pick. This ooks a lot like a panick-Reach-Pick to me. The Giants usually Draft very well so I don't really understand this pick. But they definately need a Running back and if he proves me wrong I'll gladly take it.

Solid Pick even though there were some players available that would have been much better like Upshaw or Konz. Zeitler will probably be a starter next year and play backup this year but he's overall a good pick so as a Bengals Fan you don't have to hate your team.
#28 Green Bay Packers ... Nick Perry ... LB ... USC
Here we go with another Pass Rusher. The Packers have huge success with Clay Matthews out of USC so why not pick his college successor from USC. Solid Pick which gives them the ability to go after QBs some more.Perry had 9.5 sacks last year which is quite impressive.
#29 Minnesota Vikings ... Harrison Smith ... S ... Notre Dame
The Viks had a bunch of Picks from their Browns Trade so they traded up 6 Spots to upgrade their shaky secondary. Smith is a HUGE Upgrade at Safety for the Viks and he will probably start as soon as he wears the Uniform.
#30 San Francisco 49er ... A.J. Jenkins ... Illinois

I love it! I love it! I love it! Moving up here is an awesome move by the Pats. You have a new DE/OLB Tweener on your team who could have an immediate impact on your D. Jones was a beast at Syracuse and I expect him to continue to be in New England.
#22 Cleveland Browns ... Brandon Weeden ... QB ... Oklahoma State
Are you kiddin me >_<°°° I know that McCoy sucks but why ... WHY pick a 28 (29 in October) year old Rookie and today go as far as trying to trade McCoy. Weeden is the typical Backup QB and the Browns are stupid in my opinion to pick him here. I remember a few years ago when LeBron James went to Miami to collect Championships (STILL NONE SUCKER) the Cavs Pres said that the Cavaliers will have a Championship before him. last year people were saying: "well the Cavs suck so let's make it Claveland will have a Championship before him!"Well .... It won't be the Browns with Weeden as a QB.
#23 Detroit Lions ... Riley Reiff ... OT ... Iowa
Big Ups ... Detroit staying on course to strenghten the team on important positions. Stafford was pushed into hurries and sacks way to much last year so this Pick was a no-brainer. Reiff was the top player available at the time of the pick to protect the QB. Starter with potential to become one of the top players in the whole league in a few years.
#24 Pittsburgh Steelers ... David DeCastro ... G ... Stanford
This might be the biggest Steal in this years Draft. I really wonder how someone Like DeCastro could drop so much. Pittsburgh stays true to it's Philosophie btw of picking the best Player available. No immediate need for the Steelers but he will be a Starter for sure.

New England the second ... Hightower is a versatile Player which Belichicklove in a player. He can play ILB or the pass Rusher. The Pats will have a lot of fun with him and I expect them to use him almost everywhere you can use a LB.

The Texans get their third Pass Rusher to rotate. he could have easily gone earlier with this insane need at good pass rushers but the Texans are lucky to get him at this spot. he had 16 sacks and 9 FF last year which is pretty amazing.

Coples will probably be a starter from day one but in my opinion the Jets had much more serious Propblem-Zones to start with. Remember that LT is gone. Shonne Greene with all due respect sucks. Santonio Holmes is their only proven Receiver. Also remember that you have a Backfield on D where Revis, Cromartie, Wilson and Leonhard are at the top of the League. Let them throw when those players are waiting to pick them off. I see a lot of 10-3 games of the Jets coming up this year.
#17 Cincinnati Bengals ... Dre Kirkpatrick ... CB ... Alabama
Dre fills a dire need at CB for the Bengals. He is a physical player who was a standout on the best college Defense in the Country. Screw his charges because of Marijuhana cause they were all dropped. He's no Vontaze Burflict. He'll probably be the immidiate Starter for Marvin Lewis's Bengals and I think he'll perform above average.
#18 San Diego Chargers ... Melvin Ingram ... OLB ... South Carolina
Hmmm .... had him going much earlier in my Mock but I blame not me but all the Trades. Awesome move by the Chargers as they desperately need a Pass-Rusher and they got someone who was rated as the best one of the top 2 in the Draft by most Experts. Last year he had a Monster Season in College which helped his Draft Stock a lot.
#19 Chicago Bears ... Shea McCellin ... DE ... Boise State
Solid Pick even if there were better Players at this position available according to the consesus board. Doesn't matter. Let's hope he will flourish besides Jullius Peppers. He didn't shine very much at the College Level but he had an impressive Combine Performance that projected him into the First Round of the Draft.

RG3's favourite target. Very good pick to give Locker/Hasselback a new Top-target. He had 14 Touchdown-Catches last year at Baylor and was a consencous All American which further projected him on the Draft Board.

Might be a big bust. he has some upsides but also a lot of Downsides to him. In my opinion you could have pickes DeCastro here and he would perform a lot better. He didn't perfom good in College in a rather bad Conference. Well the New York Times didn't call him "The ultimate Boom- or Bust-Prospect" for nothing.
#12 Philadelphia Eagles ... Fletcher Cox ... DT ... Missisippi State
Look for immediate success here. He will probably play from day on for Jim Washburn and you also have to mention that they traded up for a mere 4th and 6th round pick. Very good judgement from the Eagles Staff here. Cox was a First-Team All-American and performed very nice at the Combine.
#13 Arizona Cardinals ... Michael Floyd ... WR ... Notre Dame
Very good pick. The Cards need someone opposite Fitzgerald so he doesn't get double Teamed all the time and Floyd with his size and speed is the perfect receiver for that. Also pretty interessting that Fitzgerald demanded from the Front Office that they draft him so who better to evaluate him that a great Receiver.
#14 St. Louis Rams ... Michael Brockers ... DT ... LSU
Fucked up big time. You got an awesome QB so normally you would pick someone he can throw to or at least to protect him. But what do we do? We pick a DT! Remember that players like Reiff or DeCastro were still available and if they hadn't traded down all the time they could have at least snatched Floyd from the Cards. But why push a QB who you pay about 80 Million $.
#15 Seattle Seahawks ... Bruce Irvin ... DE ... West Virginia
OK ... this one is really messed up. Irvin is a One-trick player. You could have drafted him in the 2nd or 3rd round too I believe. BUT it's a hell of a way to bring off-the-Field shit into the Locker Room. Nice Job Seattle. So far the Golden Strawberry definately goes to the Seahawks and most people on the net agree up to this point.

Don't like that pick. Claiborne needs way to much work to be a dominant force. In the important games against Alabama he underperformed a lot and in the NFL every game will be played in that atmosphere. Of course he has talent but he is not ready right now in my oppinion.

Strange pick even though Barron is great. He dominated for the Crimson Tide last year and in the process got the national championship. He's pretty close abilitywise to Morris but I still don't get why they traded down and didn't pick Claiborne who is still a step above him. BUT yesterday I made a bet with a friend that Barron will have a better rookie season than Claiborne because he doesn't need that much work to become a solid player.
#8 Miami Dolphins ... Ryan Tannehill ... QB ... Texas A&M
Reach Pick. Miami needs a QB but I don't think he will start this year. He was a very good QB for the Aggies but will need a lot of development work to be a good starter for the Fins. Also they already gave away his biggest weapon with Marshall in the Off-Season. I expect them to start Moore and play Tannehill as a Back-Up this year and next year probably start him expect Moore becomes a superhuman which no one believes XD
#9 Carolina Panthers ... Luke Kuechly ... LB ... Boston College
Why not take the Butkus Award Winner when you need a Linebacker. Kuechly won almost every important defensive award last year too. The Panthers were lucky there wasn't a big need for his position early on. Even at #9 this can be considered a "Steal". look out for him as he might be Defensive Rookie of the year.
#10 Buffalo Bills ... Stephen Gilmore ... CB ... South Carolina
I really don't understand this pick. Of course you need a Corner but last year you paid a buttload of money to Fitzpatrick and now you're not gonna protect him? Worst Pick so far in the draft. This is clearly a Reach/Position need Pick but on the wrong position. Of course Gilmore is a decent player but he will not make an fast impact in my opinion.

Now I will make a little analysy of the picks so far and also of a few people who I think will go pretty fast tonight.
#1 Indianapolis Colts ... Andrew Luck ... QB ... Stanford
well everyone knew it. Those who said it might be RG3 are idiots. Luck is the most complete QB since at least 10 years. He has the ability to see the whole field in split sconds and change plays accordingly. No wonder he is being compared to the player he is set to replace.
#2 Washington Redskins ... Robert Griffin III ... QB ...Baylor
of course they were gonna pick him. You don't give up 2 additional 1st round picks for anything else than your Franchise QB for the next 5-10 years. RG3 is a physical beast who can pass, run catch and even take hits and block.
#3 Cleveland Browns ... Trent Richardson ... RB ...Alabama
moving up from the #4 pick to the #3 pick by giving up a 4th,5th and 7th rounder was a VERY GOOD move.TR3 was the best player on the board and he will help the Browns a great deal. He is also a beast who can do everything you need from a modern RB. I'm guess looking at a Pro Bowler in at least 7 of the next 10 years.

But more on that later. Blackmon is the concensus best WR in the Draft and the Jags needed an imense upgrade here. Nice trading up. Thx @new CBA

NFL DRAFT .... Bald
Ich werde heuer einen live Blog zum NFL Draft abhalten und gleichzeitig meine Meinung zum jeweiligen Pick äusern. Ausser zu den ersten beiden den es ist klar das die Colts Luck und die Redskins RG3 draften werden. Vielleicht liest hier ja wer und gibt paar Kommentare ab.
